MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities say the body of a young woman was recovered from the Mississippi River near the spot where a missing University of Minnesota student entered the water.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says its water patrol unit discovered the body about 7 p.m. Wednesday. The victim's name will be released once the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identifies the body.

Twenty-two-year-old Jennifer Houle went missing early Friday morning after going out to a bar with friends in the Dinkytown neighborhood.

Minneapolis police said Monday that city-owned surveillance video shows Houle entering the river from the 10th Avenue bridge. It's unclear whether she fell or jumped from the 10-story bridge, but police said she was alone at the time.
