Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The best lawyer in town may not be able to help a suspected Rochester dope dealer.

Police arrested 43-year-old Panh Thavong Wednesday afternoon after finding some methamphetamine and other drugs in his car. Police had been looking for him and spotted Thavong sitting in his car with his girlfriend in a shopping center parking lot.

Thavong was suspected of selling drugs and was apparently on something when he was taken into custody. It took three officers to get him out of the squad car and into the jail.

While he was being processed, a bag of methamphetamine fell onto the floor. A spokesman says he had hidden the bag between his buttocks. The bag contained nearly 13 grams of meth. Officers also confiscated $2800 in suspected drug money.

Thavong has a criminal record that dates back to 1991.
