New York, NY (MNN)  --  The march toward a third championship in five seasons hits another bump in the road for the Minnesota Lynx.

The Lynx dropped an 81-68 decision to the New York Liberty Friday night.  Maya Moore led the Lynx by finishing with 25 points after going scoreless in the first period.  It was the first meeting of the season between the two conference leaders.  They play again September 6th.

Epiphanny Prince led the Liberty with 22 points, clinching a playoff berth for the New Yorkers for the first time in three seasons.

The Lynx have struggled since trading for All-Star center Sylvia Fowles.  They are 7-6 since the deal was made.  Fowles scored 18 points in the game.
