Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A new feature at Rochester’s City Hall was activated for the first time on the Fourth of July.

Mayor Ardell Brede says an LED light display was installed as part of a roof replacement project and it was used to commemorate Independence Day by illuminating the large cupolas on top of the structure in red, white and blue light.

Brede says colors and patterns of light produced by the system can be customized to match the holiday or various events in the city.
