HUDSON, Wis. (AP) — A Minnesota man who called police to ask for help a passenger in his car who'd been shot has been charged in Wisconsin with first-degree intentional homicide.

Twenty-two-year-old Tanner J. Rix, of Lake City, was charged Monday in St. Croix County in the death of his girlfriend, 28-year-old Angel C. Linderman, of Lake City. Her body was found in a car near Woodville on Sept. 9. She had been shot in the head.

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports the autopsy determined that several hours elapsed between her death and when Rix called 911 to ask for a medical helicopter.

Rix is also charged with hiding a corpse and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

His attorney, Brian Smestad, was out of the office and unavailable for comment.
