Kidnapped California Woman Found Alive
REDDING, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say they are searching for two women believed involved in the abduction of a California mother who has turned up safe near an interstate.
Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko told reporters Thursday that indications are that Sherri Papini was released by her abductors three weeks after she disappeared. Bosenko says the 34-year-old woman suffered unspecified injuries during her ordeal but was treated and released from a hospital.
Authorities released few other details about Papini's reappearance near Interstate 5 in Yolo County. Papini, 34, vanished Nov. 2 after leaving home to jog.
Her husband, Keith, reported her missing when she didn't arrive to pick up their two young children from day care.
Her family and an anonymous donor also offered rewards in an effort to find her.
