Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An Olmsted County jury has returned a guilty verdict against the Rochester man accused of a brutal assault on a woman who was held captive in her home last year.

42-year-old Erik Narveson was found guilty of four felony charges, including first-degree and third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Narveson was accused of holding the woman against her will and repeatedly sexually and physically assaulting her during an ordeal that lasted nearly 24 hours in April of last year. The victim finally managed to escape from the home in the 1200 block of 7th avenue southeast and ran to a nearby house to call for help.

Narveson was gone when police arrived at the scene, but he was located and arrested several hours later.

He had previously faced a gross misdemeanor domestic abuse charge stemming from an incident involving the same victim.

Narveson is scheduled to be sentenced on December 28th.
