WASECA, Minn. (AP) — A judge has ruled that a Minnesota teen who authorities say was planning a school attack two years ago can go home.

Olmsted County Judge Joseph Chase on Wednesday cited expert evaluations concluding that 19-year-old John LaDue of Waseca no longer poses a threat to the community.

The decision allows LaDue to go home to live with his parents next Wednesday.

The Star Tribune  reports psychological testing found that LaDue had suffered from depression and no longer does.

In October, LaDue was sentenced to up to 10 years of probation after pleading guilty to possessing an explosive device.

LaDue was 17 when he was arrested in April 2014 after police found him in a storage unit with bomb-making materials. Authorities also seized firearms and ammunition from his home.
