Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester homebuilders experienced their busiest March in more than 10 years.

They took out 38 permits for new single family homes last month. That’s the highest for the month of March since 2005.

One of the permits was for a $900,000 home in the Century Hills neighborhood.

Permits were also taken out for 6 townhomes.

The overall building permit  total in March was 215 with a valuation of $26.9-million.

The year-to-date permit total through the end of March was 506. The total valuation was more than $74-million.
