Cloquet, MN (MNN) -- Staff at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet can't remember it ever happening before.  There were no doctors on site to help patients in the emergency room October 16th.

The head of hospital operations at C-M-H says there is a shortage of doctors all across the country.  From 7:00 a-m to 7:00 p-m that Friday the patients were seen on a walk-in basis at the Raiter Clinic.

Ambulance drivers and nearby emergency rooms were notified.  There were two 9-1-1 calls that day.  Neither was life-threatening and the patients were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
