This family and community enriching experience into the history and culture of Irish heritage is FREE and open to the public. There will be live Celtic Music and Dancing featured on three stages, including a Ceili Dance on Saturday evening. The Kids and Family area will be on the grassy side of the Peace Plaza and will feature traditional Irish folk sing-a-longs, storytelling and dance lessons. There will also be face painting, potato races, fishing in the River Lee, arts and crafts, as well as trophies for various fun contests such as “the most freckles” and “reddest hair”.

Food, beverages, entertainment, crafts, cultural interaction, native dogs and much more will be readily available throughout the entire area, all with the influence of the Ireland homeland.

Irish Fest kicks off Friday from 4 to 10pm at the Peace Plaza with live Celtic Bands and a Pipe & Drum band. Saturday events run from 11am to 10pm. There’s also a Friday evening Whiskey Tasting Event and a Saturday morning traditional Irish Breakfast.
