MINNEAPOLIS (AP)  Building inspectors are at a landmark Minneapolis nightclub where part of the ceiling collapsed during a show.

Officials say three people were hurt when a 30-by-30 foot section fell at First Avenue on Wednesday night.

City spokesman Matt Lindstrom says inspectors are trying to determine the cause. Once the necessary repairs are completed, he says, the club will reopen.

General Manager Nathan Kranz says the damage is limited to part of an old dropped ceiling. He says they'll tear out the rest of it, then should be good to reopen.

Three people were treated at Hennepin County Medical Center. Spokeswoman Christine Hill said they were in satisfactory condition late Wednesday but didn't have updated conditions Thursday.

First Avenue has hosted many prominent performers. Prince filmed his 1984 movie "Purple Rain" there.
