Injury Crash in Wabasha County and Motorcycle Fatality in the Twin Cities
Plainview, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Wabasha County woman suffered non-life threatening injuries in a traffic crash that occurred Friday afternoon several miles northeast of Plainview.
The State Patrol says 45-year-old Kali Roberge of Kellogg was transported to St. Marys Hospital after her car collided with another car on Highway 42 near the intersection with Wabasha County Road 14, which is about midway between Plainview and Kellogg. The other driver, 28-year-old Abby Dreher of Rochester, was not hurt.
The State Patrol says both vehicles were traveling north on Highway 42 when the crash occurred around 4:30 pm.
The State Patrol is also investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in the Twin Cities.
The report on the deadly incident says 42-year-old Travis Eckman of Brooklyn Park was on a motorcycle headed east on I-694 in Brooklyn Center when he attempted to pass a car and his motorcycle came in contact with the right rear of the other vehicle and he lost control.
Eckman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was reported shortly after 5 pm.
