Friday, Nov. 21st Hudson Crusaders (fourth Place 11-5). The first place Ice Hawks (16-1) have defeated the Crusaders on both of their previous two meetings, winning 6-3 at home and 7-3 at Hudson. The final scores of those games are deceptive. Both games were one goal games going into the last five minutes. The Crusader games are typically hard fought, exciting close games. Crusader players to watch: #18 Peter Karavos (League’s second leading scorer), #4 Dennis Anderson and #26 Kyle Gonzalez.
Saturday, Nov. 22nd The Hawks travel to Isanti, MN to take on the seventh place MN Owls (2-17). The two teams are among the oldest league rivals and the Owls typically play the Ice Hawks tough. Rough play is often observed in Owls/Ice Hawks games. The Hawks have defeated the Owls in two games played this season 4-0 in Isanti and a 10-1 home victory. Owls players to watch: #25 Nick Tolin, #16 V. Marchenko and # 21 Justin Nielson.
Sunday, Nov. 23rd (A rare early start- 5:35) The Steele County Blades (12-5) make their first 2014-15 visit to the Rec. Center. The third place Blades (12-5) look to extend their 5 game win streak. The Hawks defeated the Blades 4-1 in Owatonna earlier this season. Blades players to watch: #13 Joel Lehtonen (League’s third leading scorer), 11 Nick Mead and former Ice Hawk #11 Wilson Anderle.

There will be a ceremony honoring players' parents and their housing family will take place prior to Sunday's 5:35 game.

There's a food drive for Channel One for both home games this weekend.  Each person who donates a non-perishable food item will receive a puck for the "Chuck a Puck" contest.
