One of the concerns of many Rochester residents is the financial deficit the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester seems to carry each year.

On Tuesday's edition of Rochester's Good Morning with Rich Peterson and Kim David, a listener brought up that question to City Council President Randy Staver.

He (the listener) couldn't understand why the city would put up with that and then sink another 27 or so million dollars for an expansion project.  "No businessperson would buy into that."

The Council President said you have to look at the overall imact the Civic Center has on the community..
