(Rochester, Minn.)—The Rochester Honkers dropped their second straight game to the St. Cloud Rox Wednesday night 3-1. Jordan Gross (Tulane) was charged with the loss for Rochester.

The Rox took a 3-0 lead after three innings, scoring on a pair of home runs.

The Honkers would get on the board in the sixth when Adam Walton (Illinois) belted a double to the right field fence. Ryan Webberley (Cal Poly Pomona) would advance from first, and head for home on the throw in, narrowly avoiding the tag as he slid in to make it 3-1.

The loss drops the Honkers to 38-30 on the year, one game behind the Duluth Huskies for the third seed in the North division playoffs after the Huskies beat Eau Claire 5-1 earlier in the night.

The Honkers final regular season home game will be tonight, Thursday, August 6th, against Waterloo at 7:05 p.m. It will be Fan/Host Family Appreciation Night, and a Novo Nordisk Home Run for Life Thursday.

The Honkers will travel to either St. Cloud or Willmar for the first round of the North Divisional Playoffs on Monday, August 10th.
