Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are looking for suspects in a home invasion reported in a southwest neighborhood Wednesday night.

Police were called to the residence in the 1400 block of 4 Avenue SW near the Crossroads Shopping Center around 9 o’clock.

A 43 year old woman who lives at the residence told the officers she heard the doorbell and looked out the door and spotted a strange man. He asked for her husband and then he and four other males who were wearing ski masks forced their way inside. One had a baseball bat. The woman told police one of the intruders put her in a  “loose chokehold.”

Moments later, the woman’s husband arrived and the intruders ran off. The husband chased them in his car a short distance and then gave up.

The man told officers he has no idea who the men are. He suspects they knew he had recently sold his business and thought he had the sale money in his home.
