Help Mall of America Set a World Record for it’s Birthday This Friday!

Perhaps you've heard this a few times in the past couple of months, but something big is going down this weekend in Bloomington, Minnesota...

Granted, you can't do it any other way when it comes to the largest mall in the U.S., but there's gonna be party and they've got one major goal in mind: Breaking not one, but two official Guinness World Records... and you're invited to help make it happen!

The Mall of America, which has been celebrating 25 years in business for the past 25 weeks, announced earlier it's capping it all off with a huge bash this Friday, August 11, which is its actual "birthday."

As part of the festivities, they're hoping to break the world record for "World's Largest Gathering of Birthday Hats" and "Most Cupcakes Iced in One Hour."

Official record attempts begin at 1 p.m.

What's in it for you? Well you'll get to eat part of a birthday cake specially designed by Buddy Valastro of Cake Boss, enjoy live music, and win other prizes.
