Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Hayfield man who was involved in an alcohol-related motorcycle accident last year was sentenced Wednesday in Olmsted County Court.

A judge placed 25-year-old Jordan Bates on probation for 2 years, ordered he serve a 20 day jail sentence and perform 90 hours community work service. 

He pleaded guilty earlier to two counts of criminal vehicular operation.

Bates admitted he had been drinking before the dirt bike he was riding collided with a second bike in a ditch in Rock Dell Township around 1:30 a.m. on May 31st, 2014. A man and woman on the other bike suffered serious injuries. Records show Bates had a blood/alcohol concentration of .092  when tested after the crash.  .
