Rochester, MN  (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has entered into a plea agreement to settle the criminal case stemming from a fatal traffic crash in the city last November.

20-year-old Akili Scott admitted Tuesday to a felony charge of criminal vehicular homicide and three gross misdemeanor counts of criminal vehicular operation. All four charges involve driving with a blood-alcohol-concentration above the legal limit.

A Rochester police investigator estimated the car driven by Scott was traveling at between 60 and 80 miles per hour when he drove through a stop sign and collided with a second car at an intersection in a southeast Rochester residential neighborhood the night of November 6th. The driver of the other car, 23-year-old Kayla Cunningham, was pronounced dead at the scene. Scott and his 3 passengers fled the scene on foot but were later located.

He is scheduled to be sentenced March 18th.
