Preston, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Holmen Wisconsin man has pleaded guilty to a criminal vehicular homicide charge stemming from a fatal traffic crash in Fillmore County last winter.

29-year-old Hunter Scott entered what’s known as a Norgaard plea, which means he admits to the crime, but doesn’t remember his actions. Scott was accused of driving drunk when he lost control of his car and crashed into the ditch along an icy rural road near Chatfield on December 20th.

His wife, 27-year-old Laura Scott, was killed in the crash.

As part of a plea agreement, two other criminal vehicular homicide charges were dismissed. Scott is scheduled to be sentenced on January 5th.
