MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Guerrilla Girls are taking over the Twin Cities through March. The anonymous activists and artists disguise themselves in gorilla masks as they campaign against discrimination against women and minority artists.
The Guerrilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover launches January 21st through 22nd. Kickoff events will be hosted by the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the Minnesota Institute of Art, the Rochester Art Center and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
More than 30 arts and cultural organizations in the Twin Cities and surrounding cities will celebrate the Guerrilla Girls' 30th anniversary.
The events culminate with a performance at the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis on March 5th.
