On March 24th, Daya filmed a segment for a show called "Every Color Matters.' The piece was shot in Minnesota, and its purpose was to honor a 9-year-old cancer patient named Naveaha.

Neveaha is a special girl with a heart of gold. She beat her cancer, medulloblastoma, and decided to give back. She wanted to bring a smile to others who had been diagnosed with cancer. So the Twin Cities kid hosted an event called 'Superkids Never Quit,' which featured characters in costumes, entertainment for kids, food and a silent auction. She then started collecting money to donate. She got her friends involved, too, asking them to save what they earned at lemonade stands and bake sales.

Over the last two years, Naveaha and her group of Superkids, have raised $110,000 for the Children's Cancer Research Fund.

At her recent Twin Cities show, Daya recognized the girl and celebrated her amazing efforts. Here are some pictures:

According to their Facebook page, Every Color Matters is a reality show centered around cancer research, cancer prevention, healthy living and hero recognition.

They are hosting a virtual 5K for residents in the Rochester area with proceeds going to the participant's choice of local cancer charities. Learn more and register at cd5k.com
