The schedule this season is certainly favorable compared to last year.  There's no TCU, no Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State.  Which means more pressure to finish 8-4 or 9-3.  Anything less would have to be considered disappointing.

It all starts with a must win for Tracy Claeys against last year's Pac-Ten doormat, Oregon State which finished 2-10.  This will not be a sure win by any means.

Golden Gopher safety Kunle Ayinde (KOON-lay eye-IN-day) says the O-S-U offense will spread the field and the safeties will have to play disciplined football to help stop the Beavers.

With that in mind the Gophers win 35-27, but don't take that to the bank.

The coverage begins at 7 o'clock Thursday night with Mike Grimm and Rochester's Darrell Thompson calling the action on NewsTalk 1340 KROC AM.
