BOSTON (GopherSports.com) – Justin Kloos notched his second career hat trick, but it wasn’t enough as the Gophers fell to Northeastern 6-4 at Friday night.

Kloos doubled his goal total for the year for Minnesota (5-4-2 overall, 0-0-0-0 Big Ten) after entering the game with three including the lone goal in last Saturday’s 1-0 win over Minnesota State. His second tally on Friday night marked his 50th career goal with the Maroon & Gold while he would add his 51st later in the contest.

Eric Schierhorn took the loss for the Gophers, making 21 saves to move to 5-4-3 on the year.

A nationally ranked matchup awaits the Maroon & Gold on Sunday as they play No. 4/3 Boston College.
