Gophers’ Cashman Gets Big Ten Defensive Award
Minnesota Gopher linebacker Blake Cashman has been named the Big Ten defensive player of the week after his performance last Saturday against Northwestern.
The sophmore from Eden Prairie tallied a career high ten tackles, including nine solo stops, two quarterback sacks and a forced fumble in Minnesota’s 29-12 victory over the Wildcats. It's his first ever award and the team's first since Briean Boddy-Calhoun in November of 2014.
The Gophers play Wisconsin in Madison this Saturday afternoon.
