Minneapolis, MN (Minnesota News Network) -  A female Twin Cities basketball writer is adding fuel to the fire regarding outgoing University of Minnesota athletics director Norwood Teague.

Amelia Rayno covers the Golden Gopher men's basketball team for the Minneapolis Star Tribune and has written a column for Monday's edition that claims Teague also sexually harassed her. Rayno has covered the team since 2012 and says Teague would occasionally send her offensive text messages in 2013 and 2014.

Rayno writes of a specific instance in which her and Teague were together for a drink and he began to make advances toward her, which included him grabbing her, pinching her, and poking her in the side. Rayno says she rebuffed Teague and began to leave, but Teague followed her and jumped into a cab with her and began to grab at her. When she got out of the cab at her residence, she says she ran into her home and vomited.

University president Dr. Eric Kaler issued an apology to Rayno, stating that he deeply regretted that she was subject to this type of deplorable behavior. Teague resigned late last week after admitting to sending inappropriate text messages of a sexual nature to two female co-workers earlier this summer.
