Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Good Samaritan helped a Twin Cities woman recover her purse Monday night after it was stolen while she was at a Rochester park.

Police say the 51-year-old Lake Elmo woman was with a male friend at Soldiers Field Park near the pavilion when four young men walked up. One pulled out a knife and grabbed her purse.

The four then fled and as they were running over the pedestrian bridge, a man heard the woman yelling her purse had been stolen. He grabbed the purse from the would-be thief and returned it to the woman.

Police have no information on who the Good Samaritan was.
