Gasoline prices in Rochester shot back over $2 a gallon last night.

Many stations raised the cost for regular to $2.10 a gallon, up 15 cents.

Prices in the city had fallen into the $1.80’s during January but have been slowly increasing in recent days.

Minnesotagasprices.com is reporting the statewide average for regular currently stands at $1.99, about a nickel lower than a month ago.

At this time a year ago, the statewide price was $3.21.
