Duluth, MN (KROC AM News) - Residents in northeast Minnesota will have to cover their flowers, tomatoes and other plants Tuesday night.

A frost advisory will be in effect through 7 a.m. Wednesday as temperatures are expected to drop into the mid 30’s, or lower.

Several cities across the Arrowhead region reported lows Tuesday morning in the mid and upper 30’s.

International Falls was the cold spot with an overnight low of 33 degrees, only 2 degrees short of  the record for the date. Orr and Crane Lake had lows of 34 degrees.

The very warm air expected in Minnesota later this week will not make it to the northeastern corner of the state.
