Freak Fatality On Highway Near Brownsville

Brownsville, MN (KROC AM News) -- A tragic incident on a highway south of Brownsville in Houston County Saturday morning.

According to the State Patrol, three people in a pickup were coming around a curve around 8:45 on Highway 26 when a tree fell from a bluff and landed on the windshield. The driver, a 50-year-old man from West Salem, Wisconsin, was killed. His 51-year-old wife and 16-year-old daughter were injured and were taken to a hospital in La Crosse. They are expected to survive.
