ST. CLOUD, Minn. (GopherSports.com) – Hudson Fasching scored his team-high fourth goal of the year and Mike Reilly added his seventh assist of the season as the top-ranked Gopher Hockey team fell for the first time in the 2014-15 season – 4-1 at the hands of No. 7 St. Cloud State.

The Huskies (3-2-0 overall, 0-0-0 NCHC) picked up goals from four different skaters including a power-play goal from Jonny Brodzinski in the second and a 5-on-3 goal from Joey Benik in the third. Kalle Kossila and David Morley scored in the first period for St. Cloud State to make it a two-goal game with Morley’s goal coming with just three seconds left in the stanza.

Minnesota (4-1-0, 0-0-0-0 Big Ten) found the net at 4:18 of the third period when Fasching threw a shot past Charlie Lindgren in net for SCSU. Reilly added the lone assist on the goal – his fourth in the last two games.

Lindgren made 31 saves to pick up the win for the Huskies while Adam Wilcox took his first loss of the season, making 33 saves.

The Maroon & Gold return to Mariucci Arena on Saturday afternoon for the series finale at 4:05 p.m. (FOX Sports North, BTN2Go.com, 1500 ESPN).
