Fire Danger Elevated in Southern Minnesota
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News ) -The sudden warmup and lack of rain have created an increased danger of wildfires across southern Minnesota.
The National Weather Service has kicked out an advisory about the danger of wildfires in southern Minnesota through the weekend due to warm temperatures and dry and breezy conditions.
Officials say because of these risk factors, the threat for grass and brush fires is elevated. They say any fires that may break out could spread quickly.
The fire danger rating across most of southern Minnesota is currently classified as high.
