Fight Between Football Fans Delays Flight From Phoenix to Twin Cities

Minneapolis, MN (Learfield)  --  An American Airlines crew reports two pro football fans started fighting shortly before a flight to Minneapolis was scheduled to leave Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Saturday morning.

Phoenix police were called to the gate shortly before the 9:40 A-M departure time.  The two combatants were waiting peacefully when officers arrived and they were booked on separate flights out of Phoenix.  

It wasn't reported who the two passengers were rooting for and their names weren’t released.  The flight was delayed 25 minutes, arriving at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Saturday afternoon.
