Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Hennepin County employee and a Minneapolis man are accused of conspiring to fraudulently collect nearly $250,000 in government benefits.

A federal indictment announced Friday by the U.S. Attorney for Minnesota alleges 50-year-old Yolanda Pittman, while working for the Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department, helped 45-year-old Robert Coleman fraudulently obtain a wide range of public benefits, including Section 8 subsidized housing, food stamps, and Medicaid. The charges also note she failed to disclose she lived with Coleman and acted as his personal care assistance for several years during which she was paid for providing the PCA services through the Medical Assistance program.
