Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - The FBI is investigating the reported discovery of a list that contains the personal information of several Minnesota police officers.

The list was first reported by the news site Vocativ, which says its analysts discovered the list of 36 officers on an encrypted application. Vocativ called it a "kill list" and says it was posted by a group of hackers who support the Islamic State group.

FBI spokesman Kyle Loven says the list contains names of officers from Minnesota and neighboring states.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Scott Behrns has confirmed a member of his department was identified on the list.

It’s believed the names were obtained through a breach of the website of an organization whose members are law enforcement officers in Minnesota.
