PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of a 78-year-old who died in a boat crash on Fish Hook Lake near Park Rapids in northwestern Minnesota.

The Hubbard County sheriff's office says John Patrick Sargent, of Park Rapids, was found just before 3 p.m. Friday in 8 feet of water.

The sheriff's office Sargent was driving his fishing boat Thursday when it collided with another boat. The Star Tribune reports responders found that only four of the five people involved made it to shore.

Sargent and his two passengers were ejected from the boat. The sheriff's office says none were wearing life jackets. One of his passengers was flown to a Twin Cities hospital with broken ribs. The other passenger and the two people in the other boat suffered minor injuries.
