Faribault, MN (Minnesota News Network)  - Five people have been accused of kidnapping and tying up a southeastern Minnesota man before assaulting him.

The Faribault Police Department says the 24-year-old man was beaten for 90 minutes after he was kidnapped from his car on Saturday. He was driving through a local cemetery when two other cars followed him.  A passenger pointed a gun at the victim and ordered him to stop. Investigators say he was taken to a home in Faribault, hog-tied, and kicked in the mouth and hit in the head repeatedly.

Police say a search of the home turned up evidence that includes the blood of the young man.

Four men and a woman are charged with kidnapping, assault, and robbery. Police do not believe it was a random crime.
