This weekend is THE weekend! Yep, that’s right. Rochester on Tap is this Saturday, December 12 and it promises to be a ton of fun for any and every beer lover.

There are a few things you should really know before you head out to Saturday’s event. Here are some of the most important:

Where is it being held?
Mayo Civic Center

What time does it start?
We’ve actually got TWO sessions this year. The first starts at 1 PM and runs until 4 PM. The second will run from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Should I buy my tickets early?
We encourage you to purchase Rochester on Tap tickets ahead of time. It’s worth doing, too, because tickets go up by $10 the day of the event. Pre-sale tickets are $35 for a standard ticket and $50 for a VIP ticket.

Should I arrive early?
We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your session, as IDs will be checked at the door. Be sure to have your paper ticket printed or your digital ticket on your mobile phone, as well.

What’s the difference between the regular and VIP ticket?
The VIP ticket is only good for the first session, and it includes an extra hour of beer tasting. (VIPs will get into the event at noon, while the general public won’t get in until 1 PM.) VIPs also receive access to extra, rare beers and a $5 food voucher.

Is there entertainment at the event?
Yes. Rochester duo Thomas and the Shakes will be performing live at the event.

How many beers will I be able to try?
With nearly 50 breweries scheduled to attend, plan on having the chance to try A LOT of different kinds of beer! The list includes local, state, regional and national breweries so there’s sure to be something for everyone.

One final reminder:
Remember that the Mayo Civic Center is in the middle of a major expansion project and that construction is taking place at the building. Be sure to factor that in when you plan to get to the event on Saturday.

We can’t wait to see you all there!
