"Coach’s contributions to football are well documented. But he is uninterested in media attention and too humble to share what he does for people with epilepsy. His football job title changed this week, but his title of ‘hero’ to people with epilepsy is permanent and we look forward to seeing his next great venture," said EFMN Executive Director Vicki Kopplin.

November is national epilepsy awareness month and will culminate with the "Go-Pher" Epilepsy Awareness season-closing game on November 28.

About Epilepsy

When a person has two or more unprovoked seizures, they have epilepsy, which affects 60,000 people in our community. One in 10 people will have a seizure in their lifetime, and 1 in 26 will develop epilepsy. Epilepsy affects more Americans than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease combined.
