Ham Lake, MN (KROC AM News) -  The Emerald Ash Borer continues its march across Minnesota.

State officials say an infestation of the tiny green beetle has been confirmed in Anoka County near Ham Lake. The discovery means Anoka County will become the seventh Minnesota County to be placed under a state and federal quarantine to slow the spread of EAB.

Olmsted County joined the list last year after an infestation of the damaging insect was discovered near the Rochester Airport.

Houston, Winona, Dakota, Hennepin, and Ramsey Counties also have confirmed Emerald Ash Borer infestations.

Additional information about the EAB and the quarantine can be found at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture website.
