Undated (Learfield Wire Services) - Minnesota's projected budget surplus of nearly $2 billion apparently looks good to financial experts.

Moody's Analytics is out with a report that says the numbers show Minnesota is doing much better than the rest of the Midwest economically.  Minnesota is called "cutting edge" in its approach, not only in this region, but nationwide.

Job growth has slowed down in the last six months, but the state's unemployment rate has held steady at below four percent.  Many economists point to the state's diverse economy for the positive reviews.
