St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Department of Agriculture has confirmed another Emerald Ash Borer infestation in southern Minnesota.

Officials say it was recently discovered on private property in Prior Lake and has resulted in an emergency quarantine restricting the movement of wood from ash trees in Scott County.

10 Minnesota counties are now under quarantines aimed at slowing the spread of the damaging insect, which was discovered in the Rochester area last year. The EAB was first found in Minnesota along the Mississippi River in Houston County in 2009.
