CENTER CITY, Minn. (AP) — Authorities in east-central Minnesota have arrested a pickup driver after a passenger was thrown from the vehicle and died.

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office got a 911 call early Sunday that a man had been thrown from a pickup driving off of Neader Lake in Fish Lake Township. Deputies arrived to find three people doing CPR on Bradley Michael Nugent, but he died.

Authorities say the driver was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide. Authorities took him to a Wyoming, Minnesota, hospital for a blood draw to determine his blood-alcohol content.

Sheriff's Sgt. Kyle Puelston tells the Star Tribune the pickup had driven off the lake onto a bumpy, frozen marsh that "bucked' the victim off the truck bed onto the ground.
