Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The DMC Corporation Board held its monthly meeting in Rochester Thursday and thanked the Rochester City Council for approving the conceptual plan of the initiative this week.

The Board has scheduled  a special meeting and public hearing on the development plan next month and may also take action. The public hearing will be held April 23 at 5:30 p.m.

The board’s next regular meeting has been scheduled a week later and that’s when it is expected to review the city’s proposal to acquire the Chateau Theater building. It may also review the proposed Broadway at Center project. The city hopes the board will approve the proposal as a DMC project.

The Board was also told Thursday Mayo Clinic made a big step last year toward reaching its goal of spending $200 million on DMC-related projects by 2017.  The 2014 total was $39 million and the board was told Mayo is confident it will reach its goal.
