Winona, MN (KROC AM News) - A deer is being blamed for a two-vehicle traffic wreck that happened Wednesday in rural Winona County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a car driven by a 25-year-old Angela Martinez of Spring Grove hit the deer and then collided with an oncoming vehicle. A passenger was taken to a La Crosse hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The other car was driven by 44-year-old Marc Johnson of Houston who was treated at the scene.

The wreck happened around 6:00 PM on Highway 76 north of Money Creek.
