TIANJIN, China (AP) — China's official Xinhua News agency says 12 firefighters are among the 44 people killed in massive explosions at a warehouse in the port city of Tianjin.

The blasts rocked the city late Wednesday, blowing out the windows of high rise apartments and destroying office buildings.

A terrorist explosion in Iraq killed even more people. The massive truck bomb blast in Baghdad killed at least 62 people.

The attack happened this morning in a crowded market in the Shiite neighborhood of Sadr City.

Police say another 125 people were wounded. On officer says the market is especially crowded on Thursdays as people stock up on food for the weekend.
