ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A rail worker has died after becoming pinned between two train cars in a St. Paul rail yard.

Police say the incident happened early Saturday in the Canadian Pacific rail yard east of the Mississippi River and southeast of downtown St. Paul. Police said the worker was hurt during a shift change.

The worker was taken to Regions Hospital and pronounced dead.

Canadian Pacific spokesman Marty Cej told the Star Tribune that additional details about the employee or incident weren't being released out of respect for the family's privacy.

Cej says Canadian Pacific will investigate the incident.
