Davis Leads Pelicans Over Timberwolves

New Orleans, LA (Learfield) -- New Orleans star Anthony Davis poured in 45 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Pelicans pounded the Minnesota Timberwolves last night in Louisiana, 117-96.

Terrance Jones had 17 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Pelicans, who have won four straight and six of their last eight since an 0-and-8 start to the season.

Zach LaVine (luh-VEEN) scored 26 points for Minnesota, which has dropped three in-a-row. Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins combined to score 22 points on 6-of-30 shooting. Minnesota visits Phoenix tomorrow night.
