Close Call for Rochester Man After Traffic Wreck

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who crashed his car Tuesday night had to be rushed to St Marys Hospital ER after it was determined he was suffering from serious internal bleeding.

Police say 45-year-old William Whiting crashed into a parked trailer in the 1300 block of Sunrise Ave SE around 9:15 PM.

A passenger suffered a leg injury. Police say initially, Whiting did not appear to be seriously injured. He was taken to Olmsted Medical Center Hospital where the bleeding was found and then transferred to St. Marys.

No word yet on his medical condition. Police suspect Whiting had been drinking.
